Jacqueline Quittenbaum, M.H.Sc., R. SLP, S-LP(C)
Speech-Language Pathologist Jacqueline was first introduced to the field of speech-language pathology as an observer of her younger sister's therapy sessions. Seeing her sibling's challenges and successes firsthand fueled her interest and passion in pursuing a career in the field of speech-language pathology. She completed her undergraduate degree, achieving Honours with Great Distinction, at the University of Lethbridge and her Masters of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto, where she received the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Excellence Award. Jacqueline has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 2008. She worked from 2008-2018 at the University of Alberta’s Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research (ISTAR) and founded Confident Communicators Speech and Language Services in 2016. She has worked extensively with preschool and school-age children, teens and adults who stutter as well as with individuals with a variety of other speech, language and communication challenges. In addition, she has experience providing contracted services to early education programs and schools in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Jacqueline believes in providing high quality, evidence-based, client-centered treatment that addresses the whole person and his or her communication challenges. Beyond individual treatment goals, her aim is to assist you in finding the confident communicator within! In addition to her clinical work, Jacqueline has been involved in public education, teaching, clinical education of Speech-Language Pathology students and contributing to research in the fields of stuttering and speech-language pathology. In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family, reading, doing yoga, being outdoors and exploring festivals and activities around Edmonton. |
